Fall is In the Air!

So I have done some holiday decorating!!! My mom sent me some decorations and also bought some when they were here for their visit! Lauren decorates for halloween and I do more Fall! We have both now! So here are some pictures :) Enjoy!
Welcome to apartment #2!

Outside decorations :)

Our entertainment system!

My mom bought this for us!

And him too!
The black cat!

Our table top! I bought that dish from Pampered Chef about a year ago! Didn't know then I would have my own place to use it! Also I got that candle from Ross for $6 I think! It's Yankee and smells amazing :)

The Halloween spider, garland, and pumpkin!
I just think the pumpkin is so cute!

I love this little Trick Treat sign!

The whole room!

I made this frame to go around the wall decal! It looks sooo much better!

We switched curtains with the kitchen to bring more of the blue into the living room!

Lauren bought these to go on the wall by the fridge!
(the big one say's "never trust a skinny chef"

This is above our sink! Dillon helped us set it up and I added the ribbon today to finish it off!

Well that's all for now!!!

A little more life :)

Well live in Colorado has been great!  So for the post it's just kinda randomness!

I got a second job and I really love the work! It started with a few bumps in the road but now it's going much better! Praise the Lord!  I'm attaching the link if anyone wants to see their website!

Now Just some random pictures I've snapped over the last few weeks!

I discovered Sprouts!!! It has some good deals and lots of healthy options!
I even bought my own bag :)

This is my array of goodies!!! I got lots of produce, some chips, caned goods, and some crackers for about $20!!! To me that was quite a bargain :)
These are some yummy crackers I found there!!! They make a great alternative to corn chips :)

A couple Sunday's we went and searched for a halloween costume for Lauren! She is going home at the end of next week for a couple days :)
We tried "The Human Bean" for the first time! They are EVERYWHERE in Greeley.
The verdict: Not that great this time! But I'd be willing to give it another shot!

They put a chocolate covered espresso bean on the whipped cream! It looked like a snail shell to me or a rock! That was actually quite tasty to me but not to Lauren!

I have a sort of "bowl" fetish! I love the look of homemade pottery and about 7 months ago I bought quite a few off of my favorite lookey-loo sight "Etsy"! This is the first time I have used one!

I had some yummy tomato soup! I loved the colors of the soup in this bowl :)

Anyway.... That's the life update!
Up next.... My 21st Birthday with Mom and Hannah's visit!

Just a little update!

Well I don't have any new pictures for this blog..... but I figured I'd let everyone know how I've been doing!

I have been feeling so blessed lately!!! I have a job that is paying me well and I have gotten two paychecks already!  I love having work but I also love having days off! I work mostly 24 hour shifts... which are EXHAUSTING but the pay is good.  I worked two in a row last week.... that was quite a challenge but praise the Lord it went well.   The couple that I work with every Wednesday and Saturday are very sweet and I enjoy working with them (most of the time!).  Working can test your patience and kindness but I know that I will grow as a person through this job!
I've also been interviewing for another job in a spine center!!! This is an amazing job and I'm praying so hard that I get it!  (all prayers are welcome!!!)

Lauren and I have picked a church and we love it! We haven't attended the college group yet but are tonight!! We have talked to a couple of the girls and they are very inviting and friendly! I look forward to making new friendships :)  We both really love the pastor! He is full of little jokes while preaching directly out of the Bible.  He has been doing a series on the Provisions of God! It's been amazing considering that finances are one of my new top concerns in life with all of my bills!

Well that is the update :) Lauren and I did some more decorating so I will put some pictures of that up soon!!!! Thank you all for your prayers :)

Feels like FOREVER!

I know that it has been a LONG time since I last posted (or it seems like it at least!).  I've been busy working for Visiting Angels as a Caregiver! So far I really like it (though my patience is being tested sometimes!).  I actually have an interview for a front office job today also so, I'm praying that if it's the Lord's will I might get this job also!

In the mean time.... This Labor Day we (Lauren, Dillon, and I) went for another hike! This time we actually went into the Rocky Mountain National Park.  We purchased an annual entrance card so there will be many trips back up the mountains!  It was a challenge finding the trails for us and that always seems to be the problem! We started the day off kind of late but it was so worth going up there again before it gets too cold!

The drive up is really beautiful! As you can see the clouds are just amazing! That is one of my favorite things about CO! Those clouds are beautiful!

We were heading to the hiking trails when all of a sudden the car in front of us stopped! And low and behold two deer just hopped across the road! Lucky for us, another one was still waiting to cross so Lauren snapped a quick photo!

The hills are just full of trees!!! So much so you can't even see the ground.

This was one of the lakes we stopped at on our hike! It was full of lilly pads, which for me I don't think I've ever seen (at least like this!).

My hiking buddies! They are quite hard to get pictures of! I guess they only like goofy pictures!

Sometimes I just take them without permission!

These little chipmunks are CRAZY!!! They would run right up behind you!!! We were all sitting on a rock at the end of our hike and one of them ran RIGHT behind Lauren and then headed for me! I've never seen either of us move so fast!

I'm always the one taking the pictures... but I made Lauren take one of me so that I can actually be in my blog!
A lovely little stream!

Whenever there is water, we use it to cool off! This water was so clean too!

We took a short cut up the rocks! Can you find Lauren?

Yet another lake! There is even snow on the mountains still!

Now this picture is just a amazing to me! I didn't do anything to it! I just took the picture and it turned out beautiful! God's creation is BEAUTIFUL!
This was the last stop of the hike!

It was so pretty!

This deer was right off of the trail! I didn't quite get my camera out in time to get a great picture :(

And the drive home... Dillon and Lauren fell asleep again! I had to have a Rockstar in order to stay awake.

It was such a lovely hike! There will be pictures of more to come!

Just another day living by the Rockies....

Last Saturday we didn't have anything to do and neither did Dillon!!! Lauren and I had already planned to go on a hike near the Rocky Mountains so we invited him to tag along! It was a very fun day and a LONG hike.  We drove up to Estes park and then it took us a while to actually find the place to hike.  We ended up going to the Gem Lake hiking trail.  It was about 2 miles UP HILL to the top and then the 2 miles down... A very long hike!  It was so beautiful though and the water felt so amazing since it was a hot day.
Looks like a postcard!

On our way up the hill!

More postcard shots!

The View about half way up the mountain.

Estes Park!

Gem Lake! It was a lot smaller than we though it would be but it was so pretty!
About half way through the hike we saw a sign stating that we were actually in the Rocky Mountain National Park! And look at all of the rocks in the mountains!

I edited this one! I'm not very good at it but it's still pretty!

The opening is where we came in.  We relaxed, took our shoes off, and got cooled off! It fell AMAZING!

Dillon hiking down the hill! Jumping from rock to rock.

Lauren coming on down! Looking down so she won't fall!

Dillon waiting for Lauren.

This is the mountain that we hiked! It's a LOT bigger than you think....

Dillon fell asleep on the way home and Lauren kept dozing off but I didn't get an embarrassing shot of her! (Bummer!) But I got one of Dillon!

I was the driver for the day so no awkward pictures to post of me!!! It was a very fun day and I can't wait for many more lovely hikes in the Rocky Mountains!
