Just another day living by the Rockies....

     Last Saturday we didn't have anything to do and neither did Dillon!!! Lauren and I had already planned to go on a hike near the Rocky Mountains so we invited him to tag along! It was a very fun day and a LONG hike.  We drove up to Estes park and then it took us a while to actually find the place to hike.  We ended up going to the Gem Lake hiking trail.  It was about 2 miles UP HILL to the top and then the 2 miles down... A very long hike!  It was so beautiful though and the water felt so amazing since it was a hot day.

About half way through the hike we saw a sign stating that we were actually in the Rocky Mountain National Park! And look at all of the rocks in the mountains!

The opening is where we came in.  We relaxed, took our shoes off, and got cooled off! It fell AMAZING!

Dillon fell asleep on the way home and Lauren kept dozing off but I didn't get an embarrassing shot of her! (Bummer!) But I got one of Dillon! 

I was the driver for the day so no awkward pictures to post of me!!! It was a very fun day and I can't wait for many more lovely hikes in the Rocky Mountains! 

Just a quick trip to Wyoming...

So yesterday (wednesday) Lauren and had some spare time in between her TB test results and dinner with the Kruzners! We decided to make a trip up to Wyoming! We went through Cheyenne and then to what we believed was Horse Creek.  Here are some pretty pictures!!! We loved it so much :)

We then had dinner with the Kruzners at the Cracker Barrel! It was so nice to see the whole family before they leave on Friday! They have been a blessing in my life growing up and I will  miss them very much! 

Some other Highlights!

Ok so here are a couple pictures for some of our fun times in the Colorado!
First off... The first dinner I cooked!
These are our cool pots/pans!!! They can do everything!!! You can use them stove top, oven, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, EVERYTHING! The handles pop off... and they all have awesome lids!

On our third day here (I think) we got our COLORADO license!!! 

YAY!!! No more California! 

In the pictures of the apartment you can see the mirror by my window... that was quite an experience haning it up!!! Two girls, one level, one pencil, one tape measure, and two screws with a power drill!

We had lots of marks but we got it on there and it was PERFECTLY level! I had to take a few pictures :)

Our Apartment!

So today after we cleaned the apartment I decided that it was time to take the pictures and post them so you can all see where I am living!
     So first of Welcome to .....

I made these fun little magnets a couple months ago and had some fun putting them on our new fridge :)

So I will go ahead and start at the front door....

This is what it looks like from our front door!  We are half underground.... it's actually really nice! It's cooler (and hopefully warmer!) but.... we don't get much of a breeze.... so it takes longer to cool off with the windows open! 

This was a going away gift to Lauren from her friend Halie! 

I'm so glad that we got to use it in our home!
