Well this is just a small post to say that we are leaving tomorrow morning for Colorado! We are going to leave at about 5:15 am and stoping in Beaver Utah ( about 8 hours) for the night! Then Tuesday we are finishing the trip with another 7 hours! I will take pictures and post them as soon as I can! We basically have everything loaded and ready to go. We are praying for a safe trip and are very excited!
This is my last California post by the way!

VBS is here! :)
For many many summers I have loved and looked forward to VBS! I loved it as a kid and I love it as an adult! This difference... I now am a leader instead of a student! This year I am a team leader for K-1st grade. This is my favorite age group and I love working with these little kids!
VBS starts next week and that means this week is preparation time! Our theme is Gold Rush (as you will be able to tell from the pictures!) and it is going to be amazing!

My Team name is "The Gems" and we as leaders are to make a sign so the children can find their group!
Some gems and some glue!
And a lot of glitter!
The final product! I just have to put it on a stake so it can go above my head!
Earlier in the week I had to make my costume! This was very much fun!!!
This is my skirt! 4 yards of fabric, a little elastic, and some sewing! I love it and am so excited to wear it!
This is my outfit! I was able to get a shirt for $5 at the goodwill!
It is very gathered but I have some black ribbon for a belt and it looks very good!
Well I know this has nothing to do with Colorado but, to me it does. I am leaving in 12 day (Yikes!) and I'm so excited to spend my last week working with my church family in VBS! Next week will be crazy (I haven't even started packing) but I know it will be one to remember!

Sisters will be Sisters!
It's been pretty crazy around our house lately, for my parents especially. This means that I have become the third driver for hannah! It's been going well for the most part and we've has some fun times in our many drives to Palmdale! Anyway, last weekend we were bored and decided that we would do face masks! After watching this girl on Youtube we decided to give it a try!
Our recipe was:
One scoop Coco powder
One scoop honey
One scoop yogurt
Here is the result!
I'm not sure how well it worked but over all it was fun! It had to sit for 25 minutes so in the down time we had some fun with Photobooth!
These are just a couple ( I don't want to embarrass her or myself to much!)
I'm going to miss Hannah lots, especially since we've spent a lot of time together over the last couple months! But I'm super excited for her to come visit as soon as she can!!!

And the Changes begin!!!
Well in less than three weeks I will be in Greeley, CO trying to establish my new life/home! I am very excited but at the same time feeling sadness of leaving my family and friend set in even harder! Yesterday was the first day that I actually felt how real this is!
First stop was the DMV!!!
First stop was the DMV!!!
We had a situation this week with my registration. My registration in CA is due on Saturday (the 15th!) and we just got it last Saturday! This would have ment I would pay my registration in CA and then two weeks later pay my registration in CO!!! Talk about a rip off!
My dad and I were able to contact the DMV in both CA and CO. Can I say, WHAT A DIFFERENCE IN SERVICE!!!! The people at the Colorado DMV were so nice and helpful! It was such a nice change for once and I'm so glad the she was kind to my dad as he tried to figure this whole thing out.
Anyway, the final outcome was that in CO you can go 6 months without registering your car and not get a fined so, with the 30 day extension from California I will only have to pay the Colorado registration! Praise the Lord!!!
This is a picture of the form I had to fill out saying that I am moving and to please have the state of California DMV please stop billing me! How exciting!
This is my actual change of address!!! So exciting!
After the DMV ww (my dad and I) procedded to get me a new phone, make a trip to best buy, and in-n-out! My parents and grandpa are going to buy me a TV for my going away gift!!! I'm so thankful! That was the next big moving adventure. Lauren and I went to pick up some boxes of free stuff from her dad for the apartment and then we all went to Costco, Walmart, and Bestbuy looking at TVs! We know what I would like to get now so it's just finding the perfect place to buy it!
Side note: The poor bestbuy associates! When they tried to explain about the TVs and Blueray players we could hardly understand them! I told lauren it was like being in a class and almost understanding what the professor was talking about but you finally would after you studied!
I am very excited for today! Lauren's dad has been giving us boxes of housing goods for free over the last couple months! I think we have somewhere around 12 boxes! Today we are going through them and deciding what we will take up with us and what will stay home! It honestly feels like Christmas <3
Update of the Prayer requests:
- Huge Praise!!! Lauren sold her horse yesterday after having a great money winning weekend in Vegas at the barrel race! Now she needs to sell her car and the two big things are taken care of!
- For me it would still be the job search! Maybe not so much that I would find one now but that when I get to Greeley I would be able to find one quickly!

Update!!!
Well there are no pictures but there is some new updates!
- Lauren and I have been excited getting everything set up! We have the power, gas, TV, and part of the internet. We also have gotten a bunch of our kitchen/ bathroom stuff from her Dad! For most of you who know me... I do not get excited over material things easily but, opening those boxes was like the ultimate Christmas morning! We have all our bowl and silverware (all of it is animal print!), brand new towels, and almost everything you could imagine for a kitchen! And it was all a free from Lauren's Dad. Can I say BLESSING!!!!
- We sent in our first months rent! And the bills have begun!
- My big change is that I will not be attending classes this year :( The goal is to attend next fall! I will be saving a bucket load of money and know that this choice is the wise one! I'm bummed about missing classes but am looking forward to next year and being even more prepared! With this I am having to look for a full time job! This is a huge prayer request! I know the Lord will provide for me but it is still quite the process!
- Prayer request for Lauren - She is needing to sell her car and two horses before we leave!
