And the Changes begin!!!

Well in less than three weeks I will be in Greeley, CO trying to establish my new life/home! I am very excited but at the same time feeling sadness of leaving my family and friend set in even harder! Yesterday was the first day that I actually felt how real this is!
First stop was the DMV!!!
We had a situation this week with my registration.  My registration in CA is due on Saturday (the 15th!) and we just got it last Saturday!  This would have ment I would pay my registration in CA and then two weeks later pay my registration in CO!!! Talk about a rip off!
My dad and I were able to contact the DMV in both CA and CO.  Can I say, WHAT A DIFFERENCE IN SERVICE!!!! The people at the Colorado DMV were so nice and helpful! It was such  a nice change for once and I'm so glad the she was kind to my dad as he tried to figure this whole thing out.
Anyway, the final outcome was that in CO you can go 6 months without registering your car and not get a fined so, with the 30 day extension from California I will only have to pay the Colorado registration! Praise the Lord!!!
This is a picture of the form I had to fill out saying that I am moving and to please have the state of California DMV please stop billing me! How exciting!
This is my actual change of address!!! So exciting!

After the DMV ww (my dad and I) procedded to get me a new phone, make a trip to best buy, and in-n-out!  My parents and grandpa are going to buy me a TV for my going away gift!!! I'm so thankful! That was the next big moving adventure.  Lauren and I went to pick up some boxes of free stuff from her dad for the apartment and then we all went to Costco, Walmart, and Bestbuy looking at TVs! We know what  I would like to get now so it's just finding the perfect place to buy it!
Side note: The poor bestbuy associates! When they tried to explain about the TVs and Blueray players we could hardly understand them! I told lauren it was like being in a class and almost understanding what the professor was talking about but you finally would after you studied!
I am very excited for today! Lauren's dad has been giving us boxes of housing goods for free over the last couple months! I think we have somewhere around 12 boxes! Today we are going through them and deciding what we will take up with us and what will stay home! It honestly feels like Christmas <3
Update of the Prayer requests:
  • Huge Praise!!! Lauren sold her horse yesterday after having a great money winning weekend in Vegas at the barrel race! Now she needs to sell her car and the two big things are taken care of!
  • For me it would still be the job search! Maybe not so much that I would find one now but that when I get to Greeley I would be able to find one quickly!
Well that's it for the moving updates! Hopefully I will have some pictures from the "box sorting" today!
