Well we made it!!! We left the house at 3:50am (only 5 minutes late! ) and everything with the flight went smoothly. We arrived at about 9:00 (their time) and made it to the hotel by 11:00 but, check-in wasn't until 1:00 pm so we got lunch and explored the town!

| Open roads!!! |
 |
| The BEAUTIFUL mountains! |
We had lunch and went around the campus and it was BEAUTIFUL!!! And huge!
 |
| UNC!!! |
We then started our apartment search. This is proving to be a little more difficult than expected. Some of the areas are not that nice so we have to be more picky about where we choose to live. Tomorrow we will be actually looking at some of them!
 |
| There are lots of these beautiful brick houses with ivy! Wish we could live in one of these! |
 |
| We aren't sure what this means but we though it was odd... (this is in one of the not so good areas) |
After looking at the more central area of Greeley, we went ventured down to Evans (the town next door). WE LOVED IT!!!! It can be a little more expensive but we really are hoping to find a place in this town! It is more open and much slower (more of a family town).
 |
| A bear statue at one of the parks in Evans |
The night ended with an ice cream run filled with lightning and thunder!!! We are not used to it and once the power went out at the mall... (we both jumped lol)
 |
| In the town of Evans! |
 |
| The clouds before the thunder storm! |
 |
| It was CLEAR skies all day and all of a sudden clouds everywhere! It's amazing! |
So tomorrow will be another BUSY day! We are very excited but feeling nervous about finding the perfect place! (Prayers would be VERY welcome!)
Hope you enjoyed the run down of our first day in our future home!!!!

ReplyDeleteWell, sorry to have your mom as your first comment....but I am your biggest fan! (even though I am sometimes the obnoxious fan in the stands that people want to scream at and tell them to sit down and shut up!!) I am so excited for your grand adventure in Colorado! I am so proud of you and excited to see what the Lord will do in your life over these next two years! I love you! Love, Mom
That's what it would have said!!!
Peace out!
Hi Brooke,
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing this exciting adventure with all of us! Colorado is one of 2 or 3 states that I've never been to, so I may have to come visit you! I'll look forward to your future posts and I'll be praying for you.
Love,
~Betsy Derr
P.S. The deaf children sign is just a warning to drivers that a kid who can't hear cars coming may be playing nearby.
