Day two part 2! The move in!

We got to Colorado at about 4!! There was some confusion with the keys an such but... it all worked out and the unpacking began!

My room!!! Such a mess! My bed wasn't even set up yet. 

My room with all of the stuff still in bags and boxes! The air tight bags that I used... the pressure POPPED some of them! But they got up here dry and clean so that was all I really cared about! 

First load of dishes and too much soap! Not used to the liquid time and I still am not! I've done this 50% of the time as of tonight lol I might just switch to powered again!

And that was the end of our second day! Very busy and very tiring but it went well! The kitchen got thrown together so now we are going to have to start putting it together in a  more organized fashion!

Also as of today Lauren and I are both EMPLOYED!!! Praise the Lord! I actually got a job selling Kirby Vacuums on Thursday and Lauren got one as a CNA today! Thank you for all of your prayers! 

Day two part 1! Crossing into Colorado!

    Sorry for the wait!!! I was waiting to get some more pictures from Lauren't mom before I posted this one!  So day two we headed out about 8! We crossed into Utah probably 2 hours after we started driving!

As a going away gift my Uncle Craig and Aunt Paula got me a GPS! I love it and it as been used SO much as i've been getting used to Colorado.

They have some REALLY long tunnels!!! They are so amazing!

Prayer time!!!

Ok,
So for all of my family and friends that have been praying for us, now is the most important!
     Lauren and I have been looking for jobs ALL week! The job hunt is tedious and we are in some desperate need of prayer.
     I had one interview that didn't work out (i'm ok with it though cause it wasn't really a great job!) and lauren has two interviews next monday! I am supposed to have one set up for the end of this week or next week but who really knows if it will happen.  I am having such a hard time with the whole internet application process! Most of the time you can't call or drop buy... which makes it hard to stand out in a crowd.  I also am very skeptical of sending my information to strange companies.
So here are bullet point prayer requests!

• Patience for both Lauren and I (me most I think! I can't stand to be idle!!!)
• Jobs for both of us!
• Trust in the Lord that He will provide us the the perfect jobs regardless of our own efforts! 
• That we continue to get along! haha We have been doing pretty good but as the week goes on we are getting more restless and therefore more testy! 
• Safety as we drive to all of the different places.  
• And finally that we will always remember that the Lord has a plan for us and the He knows what is best, regardless of how we feel about it!

DESSERT!!!

Second night and we had some awesome dessert!
We love Nutella.... My mom gave me two and she had one... We both hid it as soon as we got here too!

Let the blogging begin!

Ok so i'm going to start blogging about our trip and live up there!!! It will be a whole lot of blogging but lots of fun!!! I might also be a little out of order!
     My goodbyes began that whole week but it was the worst Sunday and Monday for sure! Here is one picture of just Melissa, Bitsy, and I.  It was such an emotional Sunday.... and saying goodbye to my amazing friends was so awful! I miss them so much already!

So lets start with some of the packing.  About a week before the move I began started packing... and it was quite the process.  You never realize how much stuff (CLOTHES) you have until you have to pack it in boxes.  My clothes were all packed in the vacuum bags and they were amazing!!! They did work great until half of them popped as the pressure changed! But they still worked great!

We were all packed and on the road by about 6 am on Monday! We drove through Vegas before lunch and stopped in Saint George.  We then had our last In-n-out burger!! :( 

I love how as soon as you pass the border into Utah the land totally changes! 

These are the BEAUTIFUL thunder heads in Utah. I love Utah and this part I hadn't ever been through.

We had planned on stopping in Beaver Utah after driving about 8 hours but we decided to keep going!!! We made it to Green River Utah which made our trip the next day way shorter! 

The thunder heads let go and then it poured and poured.  It was so amazing how hard and fast it started to rain.  Once in Colorado for a few days though we have started expecting it everyday!

We finally settled down in a holiday inn at about 8 and headed to dinner in a little sports bar that had the BEST chicken ever... And i'm not kidding.  Both my dad and I said so! I had only had a few hours of sleep and my dad was going off of one, yes ONE hour of sleep! So when we finally hit the pillow we were out like a light.

And that was our first day!

We Have arrived!!!

We made it!!! This is my first post from our apartment! I have lots to share (including pictures!!) but I will have to do that later when I have a little more time! I am going to try to get some of it done this weekend! Thank you for all of your prayers! We are doing very well and the apartment is all coming together :)

Let the trip begin!!!

Well this is just a small post to say that we are leaving tomorrow morning for Colorado! We are going to leave at about 5:15 am and stoping in Beaver Utah ( about 8 hours) for the night!   Then Tuesday we are finishing the trip with another 7 hours! I will take pictures and post them as soon as I can! We basically have everything loaded and ready to go. We are praying for a safe trip and are very excited!
